Sistahood is a non profit organization based and located in Brooklyn, New York. Established in 2014 by founder Destiny Spencer, Sistahood has since  extended support to the community through volunteer service and community outreach events. Destiny knew the need for mentorship in her community from personal experience. Being a part of the Big Brother/Big Sister program at her neighborhood Boys and Girls Club sparked a fire within her. The mentorship she received affected her so deeply that she was moved to do the same for other young women -- starting in own her community.

Moving forward, in 2016 Jahmani Cox was appointed as CEO to assist in achieving the organization's goals and later followed our Director of Communications: Joanna Alonzo, Creative Director: Niah Massop, and Director of Public Relations: Brianne Clarke whom are Sistahood's respective board members.

At Sistahood Corp., our mission is to advocate for young girls and women from disadvantaged communities in areas of education, health, and economic empowerment by means of mentoring. Our vision is to create a network of 'sistas' that would form an everlasting bond with like minded women, expanding our services nationally and eventually internationally.
